Cumberland Community Singers

CCS is a unauditioned choir that provides an opportunity for adults in Orleans (the east end of the City of Ottawa) and surrounding area, to sing a wide variety of choral music. Formed in 1992, CCS today is comprised of approximately 35 voices, and is proud of its volunteer spirit and activities.

The choir rehearses on Tuesday evenings, 7:30, at Resurrection Lutheran Church,1325 Gaultois Ave. ( Orleans Blvd. south of St. Joseph @ Notre Dame )

They present two concerts of their own each year, in December and May, usually at the Shenkman Arts Centre, while also taking part in other community events. The choir is a regular participant in the “Orleans Christmas ChoirFest” and for ten years the Heart & Stroke Foundation Fundraiser “Song for a Heart” at Place d'Orleans each February. This year they will again take part in "Sing for the Cure", a fundraiser for the Cancer Society, in April at Place d'Orleans.

CCS is a non-profit , community based choral group dedicated to helping others in Ottawa through music and song.
